In October 2016, Paula opened Sea Paws Dog Resort on three serene acres of Plash Island. Designed to offer a full resort experience for dogs, the facility provides fully customizable stays with activities tailored to every guest. Living onsite allows Paula to ensure her canine visitors enjoy their time while she pours her heart into every detail. “I want our guests to enjoy their stay, and being able to live on-site makes it an extra bonus for me,” she shared.
The story doesn’t end there. Sea Paws became a family affair in 2019 when Paula’s daughter, Jennifer Webb, and her family joined the venture. Jennifer, a former preschool teacher, and her husband, Austin, an Army veteran, were already familiar with Gulf Shores from frequent family vacations. After Paula relocated, the Webbs often spent summers and holidays with her, helping with the dogs and lending a hand at Sea Paws.
During their Christmas visit in 2018, Paula offered the Webbs an opportunity to join her growing business. Inspired by her vision and love for dogs, they sold their Texas home and found a beautiful 10-acre property in Foley, Alabama. By summer 2019, they had moved to Foley, embracing the chance to expand Sea Paws with a second location. “Life is too short not to do what you love,” Jennifer said. “God moves you to new adventures for a reason, and we believe we are here to love on His creations.”
Today, Sea Paws Dog Resort stands as a testament to following your dreams, loving what you do, and sharing that passion with family. Beyond providing exceptional care for dogs, the team at Sea Paws actively gives back to the community, participating in local events and outreach. For Paula, Jennifer, and their family, Sea Paws is more than a business—it’s a way of life.

We had our sweet dogs spend 4 nights here and they were well taken care of. We got pictures each moring along with updates. When the need arises again we will definitely be using them…
